Recently, a productive meeting took place between second-year students majoring in the Ukrainian language and Literature and an English teacher from the Communal Institution of the Sumy Regional Council "Dmytro Yevdokymov Academic Lyceum" Vasyl Ivanovych Bilokopytov, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor. The main goal of the event was to discuss how combining a deep knowledge of the native language with high proficiency in English creates unique competitive advantages for a modern specialist. "Today, Ukrainian language teachers fluent in English are not just teachers. They are professionals capable of representing Ukrainian culture and science on a global level, developing modern educational content, and working in international projects," said Vasyl Ivanovych Bilokopytov.
The second-year students highlighted the practical value of the meeting and the opportunity to speak openly with a potential employer. The stakeholder shared real-life examples from his professional experience, emphasizing the importance of not only foreign language proficiency, but also mastering English teaching methodology.
