Despite the challenges and dangers posed by the full-scale war, the educational process continues. We persist in learning, teaching, conducting research, and creating opportunities for the professional and personal development of our students.
Under these circumstances, particular importance is attached to activities that combine academic study, research, career orientation, and engaging intellectual dialogue.
It is with this aim that the «Language Culture of the Future Diplomat» Academic Club has begun its work under the guidance of Maryna Chykalova, Cand. of Pedag. Scie., Ass. Prof., and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages.
The Club’s activities focus on:
- developing students’ linguistic and communicative competence;
- fostering academic and professional communication skills;
- refining oral and written language proficiency;
- deepening the understanding of diplomatic communication.
The Club’s inaugural meeting addressed a topic that is both timely and open to debate: Diplomacy: An Art or a Lifestyle?
Anna Hontar, a third-year International Relations student, delivered a presentation outlining her perspective on the phenomenon of diplomacy and its professional, communicative, and personal dimensions.
During the presentation, special attention was paid to speech culture, the art of argumentation, the ability to engage in dialogue, the selection of appropriate linguistic tools, and the consideration of communicative context.
New topics, research, discussions, and creative presentations lie ahead.
The «Language Culture of the Future Diplomat» initiative continues its work, fostering an environment where academic inquiry merges with professional development, and the spoken word becomes a vital tool for learning, communication, and future diplomatic practice.
